Parent and Public Involvement

Parents and the public can offer unique invaluable insights into the design, implementation and evaluation of research, making the studies more effective and credible. We ask our PPI group what they think about the trial, how we can make our research parent and baby-friendly, we ask about the information we need to collect and how we plan to use it. We also ask for input into what to include in posters and information leaflets and other trial related patient information.

What is the parent and public involvement group?

The GBS3 trial PPI group includes our collaborators from Group B Strep Support (GBSS), National Childbirth Trust (NCT) and the University of Nottingham.

We also have 2 virtual PPI Facebook groups: one for people who have direct experience of a baby who has been affected by illness caused by group B Strep infection and one for people who have not had direct experience of group B Strep infection.
